To celebrate its 160th anniversary, Zenith has recreated a modern version of the Cal. 135 movement. The original movement, dating back to the 1950s, was specifically designed for the chronometer competition and won the Grand Prix at the Neuchâtel Observatory for watches for five consecutive years from 1950 to 1954, becoming a milestone in Zenith's watchmaking history.
The modern Cal. 135 movement largely retains the classic dimensions and structure of the original, featuring the iconic offset center wheel design to accommodate the oversized balance wheel. However, it is not merely a simple replica of the 1950s original. Compared to the original, the modern version increases the power reserve from 40 hours to 72 hours, better suited to modern usage. Furthermore, the new Cal. 135 movement has received Swiss Official Chronometer certification. The best tag heuer monaco replica watches at captainthewatch.is.
